What Caused the Sadness
Another in my Fragmented Memories series. While color appears, her face begins to fade into the background. I now recall the color of her eyes, but I can't recall what I did to cause the sadness. Before painting this canvas, I applied several layers of collage -- paper, cloth. I continued to add collage as I painted, sanding back the surface to expose a past I long to call.
