Study in a Blue Frame
When I started to paint again, after many, many years, I only painted on watercolor paper. Many were ripped up and thrown away. (My level of frustration was pretty high. I wasn't thinking. I should have kept them in a collage remnants box.) A few survived, including this one. Framed in a light-blue shadow box, this follows one of my early themes. Crisp black pen lines, blocks of color, a jagged shoulder, a gaze away from the viewer.
