I am an American who has been living in Portugal since 2020. I explored artwork as a child, but it didn't seem like a career. Instead, I went into sales management working, long hours, climbing the ladder of Fortune 100 companies. During this climb, I experienced a midlife crisis, which caused me to drop out and instead into a studio in my garage. After a few years, we decided it was time for me to go back to work.

Our move to Portugal, during Covid, reawakened the artist in me. Our first apartment in Portugal was just 50 feet from a beautiful art store. I began, again, to paint. I searched desperately to "find my style" but have concluded I fall into the category of artist's whose style is best called "everythingism".

My wife often says I am an enigma, and my work lives in the uncomfortable space between opposites: precision and control versus letting things go wrong. My landscapes range from meticulously measured beach scenes to abstract places that care more about mood than accuracy. Strong women and androgynous people appear often in my work. Some reflect my attempt to recall fading memories, and some are just a bit wacky. 

While I ship original works only within Portugal, I also offer my original works on prints, T-shirts, hats and pillows. These make great gifts and can be shipped almost anywhere in the world.

I live and work in Vila Real de Santo António with my wife, Denise, and our dog, Onix, who handles quality control.
