Monte Gordo Fishing Boat
Monte Gordo does not have a harbor. So every day (except Sunday) between 4 and 5:30 am, a tractor pulls the boats off the beach into the ocean. Between 10 and noon, they return laden with fish. There is a cafe we call "Toes in the Sand" (not its official name) where you can watch their return while enjoying a cafe, vinho, or cerveja. It is a perfect way to spend a morning.
