Lost in Space
What began as a simple warm-up exercise has grown into an obsession. Wonky figures emerge from paper splashed with vibrant inks and acrylic paint. I spend days tracing their eyes, noses, and ears—always slightly askew, their heads charmingly misshapen. Sometimes these forms reveal themselves naturally; other times, I collage in an eye, a mouth, or a nose to complete the character. Is this figure an alien lost in space, or simply a reflection of our wonderfully imperfect world?
Some days it feels like you’ve landed on the wrong planet. The air’s unfamiliar, the locals are confusing, and nothing quite follows the rules you remember. Are you the brave explorer… or the alien everyone’s quietly side-eyeing? This piece lives in that uncomfortable orbit—where being lost in space might just mean you’re paying attention.
